School project time! The idea with this one is to take a newspaper article (from a newspaper that was supplied on a slow news day, ick) and use the text to express your view on the article while still getting across the general idea behind it.
I decided to use the horoscopes because they were by far the most hilarious and interesting part of the paper (excellent words like spontaneous shenanigans in them too), and personifying the zodiac for a short project is heaps of work and no fun when theres an obvious silly fanart opportunity! The point I’m getting across is that they’re kind of ridiculous, so I’m making a big group scene with the lot of them being crazy.
These are a few options for the capricorn horoscope. The original read: Family members, particularly females, will be unpredictable today so keep your adaptability muscles well flexed. It’s the perfect time to shake up your usual domestic routine.
Gamzee’s dress reads ‘Females unpredictable today’ and is in dark red, as it is supposed to belong to an angry Aradia (whose horoscope suggests that she needs to blow off steam and cool her motor or she’s headed for an argument, haha). His everything else reads ‘Shake up your usual domestic routine’. The first one is Gamzee is his usual colours. He’s kind of unrecognisable and is quite hard to read that way, and was really a test to see how he looked compared to the second (which I made first). The third reads a little better, but still doesn’t quite cut it. The largest is the one I’ll likely use for class, while the last one is the one I’ll use if I can get away with the horns. I’ll probably have to add their sign names or symbols somwhere to keep the article readable too.
Oh man, I love this project so much.
Bluhh finally done. Dropped the ball a bit with Quarters and spent way too much time on him, but w/e. Done now.
SO MANY HOURS OF MY LIFE THAT I WILL NEVER GET BACK.
Crayons are SO FUN to draw with. I think I need some more colours, though.
